2026 - 2027 WE are starting a middle school Class
If you have a child that will be in middle school next year (6th-8th grade) we would love to have you join us
Wednesdays from 9:30am - 3:00pm.
Roots and Wings’ Young Leaders Lab is designed to nurture leadership in an engaging, collaborative learning environment. Through the exploration of history, science, and writing—alongside meaningful team challenges—students will deepen their love of learning, build a growth mindset, embrace new challenges, and strengthen their leadership skills.
The class will be at a private property in Snohomish. A team of educators will be leading this drop off program.
Once a month field trips will be coordinated with Roots and Wings co-op on Fridays geared towards middle schoolers. These are optional but encouraged to build friendships and community.
Cost: $200/month approx. and $50/registration fee

Critical Thinking Lab:
The critical thinking lab encourages students to think deeply about the world around them, engage with important themes in history, and form their own understanding of leadership in light of the leaders who have come before them.
Through group discussions and purposeful writing projects, students will hone their communication skills and become more confident independent thinkers.
Science Lab:
The science lab invites students to explore the world through the lens of the scientific method—asking questions, forming hypotheses, testing ideas, and drawing thoughtful conclusions. Through hands-on investigations and real-life applications, students will grow in their ability to think critically, evaluate evidence, and make informed decisions.
Quest Lab:
The quest lab is based on interdisciplinary deep-dive real-world projects designed to foster team building and leadership skills. These projects will drawn on themes being studied in the Science and Critical Thinking labs. Throughout the year, students will hold Quest Exhibitions, where they will present their Quest lab projects and teach attendees about their discoveries.
